The no.1 thing you should do during  and after the lockdown


There is certainly no doubt these are unsettling times. A lot of businesses are struggling not knowing when things will return to normal.

It’s hard to know what to do as we have not been in these exact circumstances before. I can tell you though the wrong thing to do is nothing, in no way shape or form will that help.

Some will argue with me and say “what could I possibly do, I have no control over this virus or the government.” That may be true but you do have control over other things. There are some immediate actions that any business should take and a lot of my clients have taken steps to do something effective for their business. Now they are doing very well.

Here is a list of what you can do.

  • Get your client list together
  • If you don’t have one put one together using your past invoices
  • Call or email everyone on the list
  • Have a conversation with them, ask them how they are doing, ask if they need anything, share some successes.
  • Ask them anything you want, the main thing is you are getting in communication with them.

What we are trying to do with this first action is to put your company in the client’s mind. To put a face to the company again as their attention has been elsewhere.


This is a promotional action and the reason we start 

with existing clients is that the trust is already there because they have bought from you before so there is no real hard sell.


Now, of course, many of you will have done some sort  of promotion and this is not to replace anything successful that you have done, this should be done alongside with your current actions.


At the end of the day, if they need your services, they will be thinking of you!
